How to remember the sequence of attachments in tibial eminence or tibial plateau?

Asked by Fieldings

The menisci and ligaments attached on the tibial eminence from anterior to posterior can be remembered using a mnemonic:

  1. Medical College of Lucknow, Lucknow Medical College OR
  2. Medical College of Lahore, Lahore Medical College OR
  3. Medical College of Lumbini, Lumbini Medical College
The structures from anterior to posterior are:

1. Medial meniscus (Anterior horn)

2. anterior Cruciate ligament (ACL)

3. Lateral meniscus (Anterior horn)

4. Lateral meniscus (Posterior horn)

5. Medial meniscus (Posterior horn)

6. posterior Cruciate ligament (PCL)

Remember that the medial meniscus is a larger "C" and lateral meniscus is a smaller "C".
